    I worked in call centers & as a switchboard operator in customer service...a few times in a 'complaint center'. It is obviously stressful but your there to help the callers with their stresses & it gives you invaluable experience. The key is to empathize & solve problems. It's not about you...so don't take it personally. Making cold calls for sales or collections is completely different & requires a lot of patience. Few people can deal with that long-term.

    Not something I ever want to do again. Made worse by the fact that it wasn't ever mentioned as part of the job when I got hired. After 6 months, they added it in and I got picked on to fill one of the first slots because I knew what I was doing with the rest of the job.
