A pastor and more than 8 others dined at a St. Louis-area Applebees triggering an automatic 18% large group gratuity added to the bill for the server. The pastor crossed out the 18% and replaced it with a "0" and wrote, "I give God 10%. Why do you get 18?" A server posted a photo of the bill online and it went viral. The pastor then complained to the restaurant manager and the server was fired for violating the pastor's "right to privacy." Was posting the photo a violation of the pastor's "right to privacy?"

There is nothing in the employee handbook admonishing this specific behavior. Should the server have been fired?
