I've been watching the Jodi Arias case on HLN, and I was surprised to see that in Arizona, where this trial is taking place, the jury is allowed to submit their own questions to the defendant. The judge then asks the defendant those questions and she answers them. I've never seen that before. Apparently only three States (Arizona, Florida, and Kentucky) require that judges allow jurors to ask written questions. Have you heard of this before?

Arkansas, Indiana, Iowa, Nevada and North Carolina all "expressly encourage judges to allow jurors to question witnesses" although they do not require judges allow it. Do you think juries would probably make better and more informed and sure decisions when they are allowed to ask questions?
