Results: Hazing at Ryerson University
Ryerson University students participated in an initiation ritual in order to become frosh leaders for the upcoming year. The ritual required the students (male and female) to crawl through slush and snow in their underwear, while organizers heckled at them. After video footage of the hazing was released, university officials and politicians criticized the ritual as being demeaning to the students that participated. Interestingly, this ritual has been taking place for seven years.
