Every year, Wilcox County High School has been holding racially segregated proms. However, a group of high school students are fed up and have decided to protest against the segregation. It appears that their pleas have been heard, as the high school will hold its first integrated prom. Nevertheless, there are still individuals that want to stick “with the tradition” of having a racially segregated prom.

it needs to be viewed in today's terms of cultural diversity but incompatibility (i.e. muslims couldn't have the same prom as westerners in many cases) 0.04% 1
if it's accepted and doesn't provide a reason to make students feel hostile, it could be a tradition. 0.04% 1
it's disgusting that this still happens anywhere. shame on the high school for doing this. 0.04% 1
there are good traditions and there are bad traditions,...a silent prayer brefore school begins is good, rolling an "easter" egg on passover is very bad! segregating a prom because of the color of your skin is extremely bad!"content of character"mlk 0.04% 1
