If you have been following the news, Are you aware that this whole thing started when a visitor from Liberia went to a Dallas hospital, basically said "Hi I'm from Liberia and have a fever and stomach distress " (vomiting and diarrhea) and was sent home with an anti-biotic prescription instead of being isolated and tested for Ebola?

After U.S Patient Zero (The Liberian visitor) died, the staff at the hospital were sent home and told to monitor themselves for any symptoms "in case" they were exposed. Do you feel that given the seriousness of this disease that it was responsible to send these potentially infected employees home where they could possibly infect family, friends, neighbors, people at the mall or anyone else that they could come in contact with?
Yes, They are responsible medical professionals and capable of isolating and monitoring themselves.

One of the nurses caring for Patient Zero dutifully went home, isolated herself and monitored her condition and a few days later started to display symptoms and was found to be infected. Another nurse decided that this would be a perfect opportunity to fly on a commercial flight to another state (Ohio) to visit Mommy. Do you think using this "self monitoring" time as a vacation opportunity was a responsible thing for a trained medical professional to do?

The nurse in Ohio began to experience an elevated temperature so she called the CDC and asked what to do and was told that it was OK for her to take another commercial flight back to Dallas. Do you feel that it was responsible for the CDC to tell her that?
Yes, Because she was not yet displaying a full blown fever so it was fine for her to go back to Dallas on a commercial flight.

Do you feel that this entire incident has shown that the business of medicine in the United States has become completely out of control and ineffective and like the writer of this petition on Change.org (http://tinyurl.com/DallasEbolaFiasco) feel it is time for Congress and State Legislatures to step in and establish price controls, salary ceilings and performance standards for the business of medicine and regulate this industry?
