The City of Boston's transit system has been canceling commuter routes off and on for the past month, but will not refund commuters for the canceled trains. Do you agree with this decision?
Yes, This is how the transit system makes money. There's nothing in the purchase agreement saying you'll be reimbursed for canceled trains. It's business, not personal.

No, commuters purchased these passes with the assumption the train would be able to take them to work. In many cases people could not make it to work at all, or had to pay for alternate transportation and/or parking.

There have been unusually high amounts of snow in areas such as North Carolina and Northern Georgia recently (compared to what they are used to). Huge power grid losses and roads/schools shut down. Do you feel that every state should be at least somewhat prepared to deal with snow?
No, Why would places like Florida pay to manage a risk that is so unlikely?

Yes, The fact that 2" of snow can essentially disable a city is unreasonable when the cities could have done emergency planning such as snow plows for private vehicles and salt for the roads.

In Boston & Worcester, MA... 2 of the cities with the highest snow totals in the US right now, residents are responsible for clearing their sidewalks. In Worcester, residents are fined $75 for every day their sidewalk is not clear. Considering there is 107" of snow and ice, how do you feel about this?
The residents should be required to clear sidewalks no matter how difficult it is, and the fine seems approrpriate.

This is ridiculous, what about elderly people and those with limited resources? No fines.

Make an exception and remove the # of days requirement... and just let the kids attend until the date school was originally scheduled to end this spring.
