Two coaches that disagreed with one of their student’s sexual orientation (lesbian) decided to take matters into their own hands by informing her parents that she was a lesbian, which they were unaware of at the time. However, the mother of the student saw this as a breach of trust and decided sue the school for violating the student’s right to privacy. Six years later the school has settled and will have pay $77,000 to the student’s family for disclosing her sexual orientation.
