Why is the list exclusively sitcoms -- even cartoon versions? What about shows like Laugh-In or In Living Color, or even Whose Line Is It Anyway (thank you, Ghoobs!)?
I know it's not everyone's cup 'of tea, but I love Metalocalypse. I've been in the heavy metal "scene" (such as it is) since I was a tween and as a Norwegian expat who is now middle aged, I remember the beginnings of the black metal scene there very well. The inside jokes about heavy metal in general are great, but when one band member, Toki, who is usually the nice, sweet and sensitive one of the group, lost his cool and went full on "early Norwegian black metal scene" destructive, I laughed so hard I cried.
My all time favorite is that 70's show, I can watch it over and over again and its still funny.

"All in the Family" should have been a choice.

The Jefferson's held my heart because it addressed a topic that needed to be, and it was always handled with dignity and laughter.

I'm a BIG fan of Family Guy. But I grew up watching The Simpsons and South Park and of those two, it would be South Park.

For sheer wit, you can't beat Yes, Minister/Yes, Prime Minister, although the second, third and fourth Blackadder series come close.

Yeah, Lucy was, is and will always be great, but so close is my choice, Seinfeld.

I chose MASH, but I honestly consider that to be more of a dramatic series with a few good laughs.

Wow, how did Frasier get so few votes? It is so clever. Well, maybe that's the reason.
