With the exception of a few months, the Tonight Show took place in New York from 1954-1972. One of the reasons for the move to Burbank, was that L.A./Hollywood has more celebrities to choose from to have on the show. Having said that; it might have been that random guests were chosen for the Tonight Show vs guests that now appear as part of a promotion (New book, movie, tv show, music, etc). Which do you prefer? (I am not speaking of commedians)
I like the way it is now; seeing guests that have new shows, movies etc
