An Indiana farmer thought he discovered a loophole and went to a grain elevator that held soybeans it typicaly sells for feed, milling and other uses and reasoned that it would be modified seed as well. He was right and this was a much cheaper way to obtain the seed. He was doing it for eight years and he didn't try to keep it secret from Monsanto. The company sued him in 2007. Do you think this is okay for a company to have a monopoly on seed?
