In 2010, 38,329 people died of drug overdoses in the United States, an uptick from the previous year and the latest sign of a deadly trend involving prescription painkillers. (Chris Hondros) The AMA (American Medical Association) released in their 2013 report that the U.S. has increasing drug overdose fatalities for the 11th straight year. Is this a surprise?
