Results: Doctors going bankrupt!
Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing is becoming a growing trend among doctors. Although some doctors are able to keep their practices, many have been forced to close down which has dire effects on their patients. The weak economy is a large reason for the doctors having to close down their practices. As well, the doctors are also blaming new regulations, the rising rate for malpractice insurance, drugs etc which makes it difficult to maintain their business.
