My stepdaughter is joining the United States Air Force. We are going to have a going away party for her. Because she is going into the Air Force, she is only allowed to take certain things with her. Would it be ok to put on her invitation to give cash only or calling card gifts only or would that be tacky? Also, I thought it would be a good opportunity to take up a collection of things to send overseas to service men and women that are already serving. Would it be rude and tacky to include a list of things that the guests could donate to send overseas?
