So there is a lot of talk about monitoring your kids' activities when they go online; what are they doing, where are they going, who are they texting, are they sexting? But, there are texting abbreviations, better yet, code for things kids dont want there parents to know. For example: PIR means Parent(s) In Room, Code 9 or 9 for parent watching/around, 420 for marijuana. Having said that, there are a lot of us that had no technology while we were in middle/high school, just a rotary phone. But we did have a few code words in case the parents were around. Did you have code words when you were in middle/high school?

I was in high school in the 70's. If my parents were around while I was on the phone or had friends over, we would say we were going to the library which was code for cruising the boulevard (Library for Cruising). Do you have any examples that you used?
