Results: What Does Your Voice Say About You?
University College London conducted a survey in which participants were told to determine the physical attractiveness of an unseen speaker solely based on their voice. The study revealed that male participants found speakers with high-pitched voices to be more desirable. A high-pitched voice is generally associated with people with smaller bodies. In contrast, women found men with deeper voices as being more attractive. Deeper voices are largely associated with a larger dominating body type. As well, the study also found that employers also value the quality of speech over the actual content when they search for potential employees.
