If it was my own place, we could paint it. I only use ECOSPAINTS and they are amazing! NO smell at all, 100% safe. So safe you can EAT IT. I have a long list of safe products and companies that I can safely use. That isn't the problem though....I wish it were. It's really hard to find anywhere we can even afford first of all, then so far, all but 2 places won't take pets and next is if it's safe for me. Most have new carpet or have done remodeling too......that is something I can't handle. Too much formaldehyde in everything, cabinets, counters, floors, walls......you name it. There are a few programs that a lot of people in my condition have used that have helped them be cured from MCS, but I haven't been able to save up any money to do that since I make so little as it is. I hope sometime in the next year to be able to buy one of the programs though, cause this isn't any kind of life to live. Oh and one misconception people have about MCS is that it's the smell that we are sensitive to. It's not necessarily the smell, it's the chemicals that are used to create the products to begin with. A product can have ZERO scent, but still have chemicals that are used to create them that affect my nervous system. Or even chemicals that are used to mask scents. When I ask someone about their products and if they are safe to use and they say they are non-toxic, that doesn't mean anything at all. It just means that there is a higher percentage of people that won't react to it. I ask them if they would feel safe enough to eat it and they say "no" or give me a weird look, then I say it must not be that non-toxic then. To me, the safest products to use are ones that you could ingest. @Mwtwseb, I forgot to say thanks for the suggestion! He has a lead on another place so we are hoping and praying it will work out.

Myincomehelper-why not paint over the walls (which will cover the paint smell with a 100% non toxic paint? I have super sensitive nose, and I used Natura (flat)(from Benjamin Moore) and the paint smell was so different from real paint. I mean, for me, everyday walking into my room (when it's hot out) it doesnt smell like chemicals. It smells like nothing-or a light smell but not of paint. *when I put the paint up-I didn't smell anything (but when I left for 5 minutes after painting the room, It smelled somewhat) but barely. Also, this paint is amazing and dries within 5 minutes of brushing it on.

Thank you MoparMo for your kind words, you brought tears to my eyes. We have several realtors/brokers looking for us as well as I look online and he drives around getting numbers from signs in front of houses to call. You are right, that $1300 doesn't include anything else other than the rent. :( We just can't even come close to affording that. $800-1000 is stretching it, but that's the most we can do. We never imagined we'd be apart this long and you are right, it is traumatic and mentally exhausting. Thanks so much!

Sorry to hear about these problems. People have been very picky about having pets in rentals and 1300/month, unless it includes everything, which I doubt it does, is insane. I don't think there is any reason why it should be tha high. Being apart is very tramatic and I hope and pray for you that something comes up. Stay strong, it's not forever, something WILL come up. My hubby has been on vacation with a freind for 1 week and I can't stand it, I can't imagine 8 mos. Just keep thinking positive thoughts and what it will be like to be reunited with your sweetie and having your own place again. Good luck and take care.

We've been looking for a place since Jan 1 when he got a new job and relocated to NJ. Because I have multiple chemical sensitivities and we have a little pomeranian, I've been having to stay with my parents in AL. So, this touches a nerve for me. Trying to find a place that doesn't have new carpet, paint, no air freshener AND accepts pets has been a nightmare. On top of that, in that area, everyone wants $1300 a month for a place! Insane! We keep praying something comes up soon, cause being apart for 8 months was NOT part of the plan. :(
