  • puerto rico would be the best choice: tropical paradise that is part of the us; no passport required to travel back and forth
  • i prefer the midwest because it has plenty of weather variety and four distinct seasons. i live in the west now because of my grandchild but hate the heat and really pine for 4 seasons. we have the hot season and the hotter season here and that's it! plus, endless burning sun all year.

  • i've lived in the tropics all my life but contracted copd due to high humidity. now live above 4,000 ft. elevation in dry climate so breathing is easier. but, i sure miss everything else about island living in the tropics...food, flowers, ocean tradewinds, & moonlit nights at the beach w/bonfire.
