Warriors star Stephen Curry dominated Houston on the court, but the NBA’s MVP was upstaged by his own two year old daughter, Riley after the game. Curry led a comeback and topscored with 34 points in Golden State’s 110-106 victory over the Rockets in Game 1 of their Western Conference Finals series. Throughout the press conference Curry’s child playfully teased her dad, having a game of hide and seek, squealing, making faces, and trying to talk in the microphone. Riley also cheekily told her dad to “be quiet” as he attempted to answer questions from the media.

Reaction to the cute toddler was almost overwhelmingly positive, as social media blew up with "How adorable" and "so cute!!" making the little girl into an instant star. However, not all reaction was postive. Many critics slammed the idea of him bringing his little girl with him, claiming that kids have no business being at a sports conference, and that there are serious journalists trying to do their job, and having time wasted with this little kid OR that it's just a publicity stunt for this player trying to win points for being a doting dad. Which of these statements do you agree with?
The kid is adorable! I see no harm in having her sit on her dad's lap during a press conference

Curry is wasting the media's time and diverting attention from the real matter of the conference--keep the kid at home

Curry is using the kid to create a picture of a loving dad -- do it on your own time!

Maybe for a minute or two, it's cute, but she should have been handed off to someone after that moment

Do you think having his child with him during the press conference -- and this was certainly not the first time it has happened -- was a way of shedding some positive and more human light on NBA players, given some of the bad publicity they have had as of late?
Yes, this was an obvious publicity stunt--makes the NBA seem more "human"
