I almost always register directly with website so I don't have to link accounts. I was locked out of Facebook for a week because of a third party log-in from a shopping site.

It is too easy for people to get your info from the internet, the less you put in the safer you are.

I sign up with a separate registration. My computer remembers the passwords for me, I also use roboform, and for those accounts that are very private like financial sites I also write down my log in information. I think just common sense
