Eurostar Group has created the first tablet that is specifically marketed towards women. The ePad Femme tablet has a pink background and is preloaded with applications that they believe women will be interested in using. Some of these applications include shopping for groceries, cooking and doing yoga. The company behind the tablet believes that this device is perfect for women that have difficulties downloading applications. However, many argue that the ePad Femme is sexist and assumes that women are incapable of operating technological devices. Since mid-February, the device has sold 7,000 units and is only available for purchase in the Middle East and some parts of Asia.
