This is an air umbrella which takes advantage of the air flow as shelter from the rain. It will be available in 2016. The flowing air can change the moving path of the object. The faster the air moves, the greater the energy is. The jet airflow can isolate some objects. So when we make use of the airflow, we can protect ourselves from the rain drops. Then the airflow forms an umbrella without a visible cover. Air umbrella A: 30 cms. long, weight: 500 grs. Oriented to women and kids. Battery life: 15 min. Air umbrella B is oriented to general public. 50 cms long. Weight: 800 grs. Battery life: 30 min. Air umbrella C is scalable for one to two persons. Goes from 50 cms to 80 cms once extended. Weight: 850 grs. Battery life: 30 min. Would you like having an Air Umbrella? (You can click on the picture and make it bigger)

It seems that the standard umbrella is already perfectly designed — compact, resistant to all but very strong winds, and it generally keeps your top half dry. The kind of storm in which an umbrella wouldn't do the job is the kind of storm where nothing other than staying inside would help. A new umbrella design by Je Sung Park and Woo Jung Kwon aims to not only change the umbrella's core design, but to make it adjustable given the power of a storm. The project in Kickstarter was expecting to raise $10000 and they already have 325 backers who provided $38013. Do you think that this product will be successful?
