I have a few stories regarding office mishaps. Someone broke my ex husband's french press at work, yet no one saw a thing! Additionally, people would steal his lunch -- this was at a state agency with mostly conservative people. When I worked at Cedars Sinai, peoples' food items would also go missing from the refrigerator. It seems that this is a global problem (since it's a food problem, perhaps a public health problem). Have you ever had food or drink items stolen, tampered with, or other items broken at a place of employment?

The issuer polled 1,061 employees. Have you ever stolen someones food, drink, or other items from an office setting?

Food theft in the workplace is epidemic. A survey released in June by online grocer Peapod revealed that 71 per cent of employees have had their personal snack, drink or meal stolen out of communal-office kitchens. If you've been in the workplace, more than one, have all or most of your places of employment had a problem with food being taken by food theft?
