Results: Free Finding/Dumpster Diving

Did you know that in most states it is perfectly legal to dumpster dive as long as its on public property, there isnt a "No Tresspassing" or "No Diving" sign posted up, on, or near the dumpster? In some states the city may have an ordinance forbidden dumpster diving. Check with your local magistrate or city offices before attempting to dive.

Did you know that dumpster diving is becoming more popular in this economy among all age groups?

Some people are even dumpster diving five days a week, then selling their dumpster diving finds on weekends at their local flea markets as a full time job! Would you ever consider dumpster diving at upscale retailers, then turning a profit by selling the items on Amazon, EBay, or your local Flea Market?

While there are mixed views about dumpster diving, a lot of people assume the dumpster are nasty and dirty. Did you know that at upscale retailers such as Bed, Bath an d Beyond, ToysRUs, Sears, Target, Pier1 Imports and Kohl's, just to name a few have nice, clean, dry dumpsters? There is less food, and liquid to be spilled so usually there is no mess or nastiness.

Did you know that some dumpster divers only dive at upscale retailers and they never climb in the dumpsters? They are called Free Finders! They use a grabber with a long handle, while standing on a bucket, or leaning in on the side window of the dumpster and retrieve all the bags. They have on gloves, old clothes at usually go early in the morning, or early at night to free find.
