State Senator, John Eklund, from Ohio was successful in getting Senate Bill 268 enacted whereby all felony offenders are treated equally under the law by requiring the collection of DNA from individuals who are charged, but not technically arrested for a felony offense. He hopes this will get many rapists and other violent criminals off the streets and will prevent them from victimizing again.
