Hydraulic Fracturing or Fracking--the horizontal boring or driling for oil and gas and Injection Wells--which are used for disposal of the polluted water that comes from oil and gas exploration. In Ohio, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources is in charge of approving the drilling and that drilling cannot be banned or blocked by local communities, some who fear that the drilling process and disposal of polluted water could harm their drinking water and possibly cause earth quakes.
