Nova Scotia editorial cartoonist Bruce MacKinnon, of the Halifax Chronicle Herald, created a cartoon that captured Canada's pain in the wake of the Humboldt Broncos fatal bus crash. It said exactly what our entire country is feeling, after the horrific bus crash that claimed the lives of 16 people -- Dayna Brons, 24, the athletic therapist for the team, died of her injuries a day ago, and some are still in critical condition. Do you think this cartoon captured the spirit of Canada and their "coming together" in time of tragedy?

For MacKinnon, this is not the first time one of his cartoons has struck a chord with the nation. In 2014, his illustration depicting bronze statues at the National War Memorial in Ottawa leaning down to comfort Cpl. Nathan Cirillo, who was shot and killed while standing guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier during the attacks on Parliament Hill, received national and international attention. Do you prefer editorial cartoons or written editorials on important news stories?

Vancouver artist Pia Guerra's Hero's Welcome shows a young girl leading the school's football coach Aaron Feis by the hand to meet a crowd of other people killed in school shootings. Feis was one of 17 victims who died when a former student opened fire at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in February. Do you think her cartoon captured the moment?
