Rebecca Edmonds joined the Air Force and recieved a full scholarship to a Catholic school to be a nurse. She got pregnant and was "dis-enrolled" from the Air Force and her scholarship was taken away as the Air Force does not enrol single parents. They think the stress of a military life and parental abscence is too hard for the child(ren). Rebecca's mother said even if Rebecca would be deployed, the child would be cared for by the father and both sets of grandparents.
