Results: Universal Healthcare for America

Finland has long been touted by American democrats as the model of socialism, where everything is free and everyone is happy. Sadly, fiscal reality hit Finland's government as it collapsed due to the rising costs of its universal health care. Similar problems are bedeviling Sweden and Denmark, two other countries frequently held up as models to follow on health care. If they are examples of how socialism (i.e. universal healthcare) works, does the fact of their resulting governmental collapse warrant serious consideration that perhaps Universal Healthcare (that a majority of the democrats are pushing) is not the best direction for America?

The Washington Free Beacon reports: The government of Finland collapsed Friday due to the rising cost of universal health care and the prime minister's failure to enact reforms to the system. Prime Minister Juha Sipila and the rest of the cabinet resigned after the governing coalition failed to pass reforms in parliament to the country's regional government and health services, the Wall Street Journal reports. Finland faces an aging population, with around 26 percent of its citizens expected to be over 65 by the year 2030, an increase of 5 percent from today. Is it concerning to you that Democratic candidates are pushing hard for a system that has brought about governmental collapse in other nations that have tried it?

Reuters reports that soaring treatment costs and longer life spans have particularly affected Nordic countries. Nordic countries, where comprehensive welfare is the cornerstone of the social model, have been among the most affected," according to Reuters. "But reform has been controversial and, in Finland, plans to cut costs and boost efficiency have stalled for years." Does the fact that certain presidential candidates (all Democrats, by the way) promote a healthcare system that has brought about the demise of countries that have had it for years raise concern that they might not be the best candidate for leading America to prosperity?

Just a few days before Finland's government collapsed over its inability to foot the bill for its expansive socialist experiment, Sanders took to Twitter in an attempt to shame America. Were you aware of Bernie Sanders being such a big proponent of universal healthcare (that he calls Medicare for All) – like we find in Finland, Sweden and Denmark?

With the collapse of Finland's government ("the happiest country in the world", according to Sanders) over its inability to financially support its massive socialist agenda, does it concern you that these big, expensive programs that the liberal candidates promote (and are ultimately driving their governments into ruin) are going to cost Americans millions (or billions) more than they're already paying in taxes?
