On Jan 20, 2009, Barack Obama was sworn in as President of the United States and became the first African American in history to hold that office. I am old enough to remember the civil rights struggles of the 1960's. While things have improved since then, I still never thought I'd see an African American President in my lifetime. Before Obama was elected, did you believe you would ever see an African American elected President in your lifetime?
