In my opinion, the public schools around here have made their own little loophole in separation of church and state. For high schools there are many with a seminary building where the Mormon children have a church class. It does not, however, count as a credit, and is on separate land right next to the school. What do you think about this?
That's pushing the envelope.

I think that it's a good idea to keep kids occupied who would otherwise not be in a class, thus providing opportunities for trouble.

I don't see what the problem is. It doesn't count as a credit, and technically isn't on school grounds.

If the state I live in was still primarily Mormon and there was a proposition for the same type of ordeal but for, say, Catholics, do you think that people's attitude would change (status quo: they think nothing of it, see nothing wrong with it)?

Do you think that the Pledge of Allegiance violates the separation of church and state by saying, ":..Under God?" I got the stare down from teachers because I would not say it, and if they pushed it I'd maybe stand. Was I the disrespectful one, or are schools and the government by requiring it even though there are many other religions within our nation?
You were the disrespectful one.
