Results: Weren't You The One Who ...?

One of my favourite singers these days is Brandi Carlile. And I was constantly thinking how much she's changed her sound since the early days with the pop group, The Go-Go's. It really is a big change, from the mid 70s to now -- from the pop sound of "Heaven Is A Place On Earth" and "Mad About You" to the bluesy sound of "The Joke" and "Carried Me With You". Imagine how surprised I was when I realized these two woman, while both talented, were two separate people. It was Belinda Carlisle, who was part of The Go-Go's in the late 70s and on, while Brandi Carlile was the singer I liked. Have you ever mistaken one artist for another?

I am not sure why I didn't figure it out sooner. Brandi is only 39, which would have made her only 3 when The Go-Go's were first popular. That should have been my first hint. Plus, the last name is spelled different, and obviously the first names are completely different. And, according to Carlile, she's been interviewed about seeing multiple publications confuse her with Belinda Carlisle. "I'm already seeing a lot of pictures of Belinda Carlisle and plenty of misspellings," she told Rolling Stone, in 2019. Which of these two singers do you prefer more (you can listen to the two videos of their singing if you would like)?

Isla Fisher, an actress who is often mistaken for Amy Adams went on Jimmy Kimmel a few years ago, to deliver a funny PSA about how viewers could tell the two actresses apart -- with one difference being "Amy Adams has five Oscar nominations. I am a member of SAG." These celebrities are often confused simply because they resemble each other -- are there any on this list that you often get confused?
