What about "The Jitterbug"? During the filming of the classic, the studio wanted to capitalize on the Jitterbug dance craze. A musical number was supposed to take place before the winged monkeys kidnapped Dorothy from the Haunted Forest, but was scrapped soon after. An audio recording still exists, but the only visual footage is a dress rehearsal filmed off camera by Harold Arlen (the composer for "Over the Rainbow"). Do you think The Jitterbug would have been a great number for The Wizard of Oz?
Yes! The song is great, the movie is great, and any extra footage is great!
