We hear it all the time. There are hardly any original ideas any more in TV, movies and music. As far as music goes, the cover song has been done for years, will continue to be done for years, and sometimes the cover is much better than the original.

The song 'Somewhere' from West Side Story is one of my favorite songs ever. And the 1957 movie song was covered by Barbra Streisand beautifully, and since then many have tried, but not quite lived up to her standard. Until this spring. The winner of The Voice, Alisan Porter sang this song, and showed everyone why she was going to win that show. Which version of the song do you prefer?
