Results: You Got To Have Faith

Lauren Daigle is a young Christian artist who has made a splash in recent weeks with the widely celebrated release of her most recent album "Look Up Child" (debuting at the top of the charts) and became a crossover sensation with her single "You Say". Her song "Rescue" was played during a tragic montage on "Grey's Anatomy," a coveted slot in the music industry because of how it can skyrocket previously unknown artists. Drake, Cardi B, and Ariana Grande had albums on the Billboard 200 the week she released "Look Up Child," but it was Daigle who competed with Paul McCartney's new album for the third slot. Just a few weeks ago, Daigle said a "personal dream" came true when she appeared on Ellen Degeneres's daytime talk show. While it's certainly normal for shows like "Ellen" to feature popular musicians and artists, it's far less common for them to highlight artists whose music is so overtly devoted to faith. Social media followers criticized the Christian singer for appearing on a show with a gay host, and Daigle responded publicly by saying Christianity was not about "drawing lines in the sand." Last week, Daigle appeared on the "Dominick Nati Show," which airs on iHeart Radio. "Do you feel that homosexuality is a sin?" Nati asked Daigle. The singer didn't offer a clear-cut response. "I can't honestly answer on that," Daigle said. "In a sense, I have too many people that I love that they are homosexual. I don't know. I actually had a conversation with someone last night about it. I can't say one way or the other. I'm not God." Again, she has come under heavy fire by social media and many religious leaders for her refusal to declare openly and outright that homosexuality is a sin.
