Most showers are made with ceramic tiles, which absorb next to no sound. And good chance your shower is probably pretty small. When your voice isn't absorbed, it bounces around quite a bit, thanks to the close proximity of the ceramic shower walls. All that back-and-forth adds up, giving your voice more power and volume. Perhaps you enjoy singing in the next favourite personal venue -- your car. Many enjoy it, and although you may not sound that great once the radio volume is turned down, singing in the car has many benefits. Singing in general is good for you -- it relieves stress, gives your heart, lungs, and muscles in your upper body a good workout and boosts your mental health. When you sing, your brain releases chemicals that give you a natural high. These include the neurotransmitters oxytocin, dopamine, and serotonin. Spotify, the music streaming app revealed that there are approximately 39,000 active playlists named "Shower." The most popular song people love to sing in the shower (or car I would assume) on the list is Wham! - "Wake Me up Before You Go-Go". I do not think I have ever tried that one, but my three favourite songs to sing in the car, or shower, are Blindness by Metric, Swimming by Florence and the Machine (fitting for the shower I guess) and Love For Days by Mimoza.
