Queen legend Brian May has teamed up with perfume company Xerjoff to develop his own Limited edition perfume which will raise funds to help save European wildlife under threat. His new fragrance will feature pink pepper, jasmine, ylang-ylang and musk. In particular, May has chosen to dedicate his perfume to the Eurasian badger which has seen unrelenting persecution in England. According to the Badger Trust, in 2020 alone 62,000 of the beloved animals were culled by the British government. An insider said his perfume "has deliberately earthy overtones — with a hint of clean badger fur." Not really sure how much one would want to smell like a badger, but would you purchase this fragrance?

Celebrities launching fragrances is not a new concept. The very first fragrance/celebrity collaboration was Sophia Loren. In 1981 Loren became the first to launch a "celebrity scent" as we know them today, although celebrities were used as spokespeople long before that. Did you wear any of these early celebrity fragrances?

How involved are the celebrities with their signature fragrances? Some are just a "face" behind the fragrance. They are involved in the promotion of the perfume and sometimes participate in its creation too. Celine Dion was one celebrity who was actively involved in the process of development of her personalized fragrance, and also in the packaging and marketing of the same. Similarly, Jennifer Lopez was also involved completely in the production of her perfume brand. Have you ever specifically bought a perfume or fragrance because of the celebrity name attached to it?

While style icons like Elizabeth Taylor, JLo and Sean John releasing fragrances make sense, some of these may not quite make as much sense. While I have not ever tried any of these, one can only guess what these fragrances may smell like. Have you tried any of these fragrances?
