Do you know anything about Huntington's disease?

Huntington's disease (also known as Huntington chorea) is a genetic one in which nerve cells in the brain waste away. Known symptoms: worsening dementia (disorientation or confusion, loss of judgment loss of memory, personality changes, speech changes), psychosis, paranoia, hallucinations, depleting motor skills, sometimes violence. As the gene is passed down through the family the higher the chances are that descendants will be effected by it at an earlier age. Generally, there's a 50/50 chance that children with a carrier or effected parent will be effected by it. If your significant other or you had it in the family and wanted to start your own would you have genetic testing to see if you had it (and could potentially pass it on to children), or would you rather not know?
