Excerpt …. Facebook will soon have 1 billion registrants. What isn't so much appreciated by the medical community is that their patients are turning to online health social networking because they trust their virtual peers more than their physicians; a real change is taking place. In fact, there was a young boy who was desperately ill and undiagnosed, but a Facebook friend of the boy's mother made the diagnosis of Kawasaki disease.
