A Toronto mother is demanding that wire-bristle barbecue brushes be banned, after her six-year-old son landed in the hospital as a tiny wire from their barbecue brush was lodged inside of his throat. Surgeons were able to remove the bristle, but they think the child may develop an infection for the bacteria on the wire. Interestingly, surgeons have seen an increase of patients needing surgery to remove bristles in their throats.
