I have 3 weeks off from school and am Starbucks hopping, for the fun of it. There are so many cool, tucked away Starbucks, that I have seen from time to time, so I decided to start visiting a few. I wound up near an elite shopping center the other day, sitting next to me was a gal and her assistant (I presume) who flew to LA just for a few hours to shop. I never looked at them to see if it was someone notable, I just listened (being the Rona that I am). At the end of their coffee, they left mentioning that their day shopping trip was successful and that flying here was a good idea, but they needed to fly back home. I thought, wow, what fun to fly somewhere just for the day; shopping or a meal, then fly back home. I know people do this for business, but have you ever, for pleasure, flown or taken the train somewhere just for a few hours then returned home?

I believe one of the airlines had a very small priced flight from Burbank to Long Beach, and a few people I know took the flight, went and saw the Queen Mary, ate, shopped then flew back to Burbank. Does that sound like fun?

Towards the end of the week I went to another Starbucks, in Toluca Lake, where I use to live prior to marrying the father of my 2 kids. Living there was one of the happiest if not happiest or first time for complete happiness in my life. While there, I was overcome with memories and complete body / mind sensory experience; very weird. I felt like I was home. In the movie, What happens in Vegas, Cameron Diaz returns to Fire Island, the one places that truly makes her feel happy. This is what I experienced as well. Is there a place like this for you? A spot that brings you peace, makes you feel centered and calm?
