Results: Is cigar or pipe smoking really smoking?

I fill in a lot of surveys and there's one type of survey from which I keep getting booted: Tobacco-use surveys. I've smoked perhaps two cigarettes in my entire life, but am a regular pipe smoker and occasional cigar smoker. This doesn't seem to count for most survey takers. I am never even asked how much pipe tobacco I smoke, and am rarely asked how many cigars I smoke.
