My sister's latest drama as a homeowner: squirrels in her attic. It sounds funny to write this, but they are a serious problem. Besides the noise, they like to chew on electrical wires, which puts her house at risk for fire. She has been looking at various DIY and paid solutions. But, she really needs a frugal solution because an exterminator said squirrel removal could cost up to $5,000.
