Results: Snark and Sass from Friends and Family

A late uncle of mine was noted for saying "You can only rent beer!" Does that make sense to you?

Upon thanking him one time for somethinghe did for me, a close friend of mine in college replied, "Any time it's convenient for me, and you're around!" I don't recall him ever saying that to me again, but that one time stuck. Would someone essentially saying "You're welcome." in such a qualifued way stick with you?

Another college friend with whom I remain close to this day will sometimes tell me "You're such a nice guy!," to which I'll reply kiddingly, "You're so right!" It's gotten to the point where he'll start saying my usual response directly after complimenting me. Have you any friends with whom you joke about like that?

A second late uncle of mine, also my godfather, had at least one vulgar nickname for me and would often share with me wholly age-inappropriate jokes, poems & songs. I've a hunch he did that as subliminal retribution for my having dumped on him after my Romabn Catholic baptism as an infant (not that I recall having done my business on him, but so I was told). But, he may have simply been a coarse, rude jerk. Your thoughts?
