You may have had a romantic evening and then headed to his/her place to take things to the "next level" Sometimes the evening ends with conjugal bliss but on other times something non sexual happens that nevertheless destroys the mood. Some of these passion killers are funny and others can be traumatic. I will share some that either myself of my friends have experienced and you can add your own. You may have overreacted at the time and recaptured the mood later or the event may have been a "deal breaker" that killed any future chance of a sexual encounter. Regardless we can revisit some of these turn-offs and have a laugh at them (or a cry).
1. Have any of these situations happened to you?
The place is a pig sty with dirty clothes, dirty dishes and (the last straw) dirty bed linens.
You are passionately removing each others underwear and one of you has a "skid mark" on theirs
The pet cat or dog is a 3rd party to the scene and insists on sticking its cold and wet nose into places where it shouldn't.
The phone rings just as you are reaching the point of no return and he/she stops to answer it.
You get to his/her place and find a room mate waiting to join the scene. They are both into it but you either are not or you have "performance anxiety" and have to press the pause or stop button.
There are photographs on the bedside table showing your date with another partner and you have no idea what the current relationship is.
You are at a party and you both slip off to a quiet room. Some joker sees you go in and slides a microphone under the door. Like that scene from the movie "MASH" you soon hear every passionate word broadcast over the speakers in the living room and one of you likes to talk dirty.
2. If these or something similar happened to you, how did you react? Were you unfazed? Did you bale out but recover and try again later? Did you exit the building and when you think back on it, it kills your libido for days?
I kept my eyes on the prize and did what nature intended. I performed well under the circumstances.
The mood evaporated and we called it a night. We laughed about it later and our second date was "magic."
What a disaster. Anytime I get overexcited and need something to act as a "cold shower" I think of that night.
3. When you look back on it now do you think your reactions were justified?
4. Are there any situations that didn't happen but you wish they did? Please keep your answers clean please
No it didn't but I wish it did.
Yes, something like that happened but it never happened again.
I have had several adventures along the way and might share the details in the comments section.
5. Did you or will you require treatment from a medical professional because of an incident like this.
