People seem to carry a selfish and self-soothing agenda. We have become dehumanized by automation and a changing morals and ethics. Too many culprits to name, but I have my own theories on what has created a social rift, and I would like to hear what others feel at the end of this survey.

The internet has been around a while and we've all heard the argument that social media has caused social isolation and an inauthentic existence; however, do you feel that social media invigorates a cue for self-important entitlement, thus creating one's significance as a pseudo celebrity?

The LGBTQ has garnered a lot of momentum over the past several years, and with righteous validation, they have been subdued in society; however, I argue that with increasing awareness to forgo identifying someone's sexual orientation (by simple assuming cisgender at first glance) and now, more prominently, those who identify as non-binary (people who feel they can neither classify as male/female) has created a culture of cautionary individualism, further shaping segregation into society. It makes it harder to meet people, form platonic friendships, and consider that not everyone will agree or should agree with said lifestyle pursuits. Do you agree, and or have you had a hard time turning someone down because you don't follow the same sexual orientation as the other individual and just simply would enjoy the opportunity to talk to a stranger without an agenda attached?

Women have gained momentum, have a lot more power than they did a century ago; however, it seems that boys are held back in favor of girl power, and there is an assumption that women can do no wrong. As a female, who has sons, I find it a disturbing trend, particularly in schools, how boys are made to be seen as the aggressors and or not seen "as boys" but must have ADD. Girls are told constantly they are smarter, while boys are put in the corner. If you get a chance, please watch the documentary "The Red Pill," it moved me to the core. I feel that part of the isolation in society can also be attributed to over-hyped feminist attitudes. I brought up my sons to understand equality of all humans no matter what. So, have you noticed this rift in society due to a push for more female power?

Spare the rod, spoil the child. There is such a thing as abuse but there is also discipline and I believe not all discipline must be with a rod. However, I have noticed since the "Baby on Board" generation in the 80s and the abstinence of controlling one's children for a manual to tell them how it's done, that a large group of individuals in society lack respect and have a carefree attitude towards others. You will often see children running amok in stores, people forget to say thank you, excuse me, or what not. Parents are aware of their children misbehaving, and it has been my experience they will have the audacity to ask me, "What should I do," or chalk it up to, "He/she hasn't had their medication yet." Do you feel part of what isolates us is our frustration with placating parents and a society that has constant disrespect for others?

This question is similar to the one about women. However, it stems with regards to how when one group in society is subdued for years, it almost seems that the dominant group will falter at some point when the subversive group rises. Recently, studies reveal how white men have been dying in desperate circumstances, have been ignored by society at large. Many die by suicide, poor health coverage, or dependence on substances because they see no way out. Society at large has been focused on making sure people of color receive a fair shake in education and find a way out of poverty. According to statistics, people of color have been doing better, but the mantra of "White privilege" still perpetrates our society and couldn't be further from the truth for a number of individuals. It appears that this attitude toward race and how we focus on some individuals and not all, creates an unhealthy society and fuels racism. The mantra or attitude of "white privilege" seems to effectively keep the haves from the have-nots by making the uneducated poor whites dislike people of color rather than allowing them to find their common grief against those who have, no matter who they are. Do you feel that there is a systematic issue with how groups are played against each other in order to keep us separate?
