One way someone might try to prop themselves as a good person is by playing hero in situations. They do it not just to lend a helping hand but to obtain an ego boost and maintain a nice image in the eyes of others. Do you know someone like this?

Sometimes these heroes create chaos intentionally in order to swoop in and save the day. It sounds awfully strange but it happens! In the eyes of most, it may not be recognized right away, but a few may pick up on the manufactured crisis.
