There is a new trend with young Jews; who are tattooing names in Hebrew on the inside of their arms, more or less in the same area where the Germans tattooed numbers on those in concentration camps. In most cases it isn't a memorium to those who died in camps but instead a celebration of life. One example would be, the names of their kids in Hebrew. Tattoos, however, remain taboo among many Jews, for reasons both religious and cultural. And tattoos, which so many people seem to conflate with the numbers marked on concentration camp inmates, are simply too much for some people to handle. How do you feel about this?
