i am making this survey on April 14th and where i live, i woke up to snow on the ground again after it was all pretty much melted away. As i was looking out the window i received a memory notification on my phone of a video from 3 years ago today, where i woke up to a blizzard. Much less snow today, but it still sucks. How is the spring weather where you are?

It definitely has been getting warmer where i live. These types of late snowfalls are getting less frequent as the temperatures continue to rise. One thing that has resulted from higher temps, is we are getting ticks in areas we didn't before because they are able to make their way farther north. It is estimated that they are increasing their range 35 to 55 kms per year. Never even thought about ticks in northern Canada more than 10 years ago or so when out in the woods or tall grass. Now we have to take precautions. I figure most of the people on Tellwut live more south than i do, and maybe ticks are common in a lot of areas, but are ticks a big concern where you live?

Ticks can transmit a wide range of bacterial and viral pathogens to both humans and other animals. Ticks are most known for spreading Lyme disease, but have you heard of the Lone Star Tick that can trigger a red meat allergy in people?
