this recipe is from my wonderful mother-in-law which she is no longer with us. this recipe calls for celery and bacon, sage but not to much. we always do all prep work 3 days before. the stuffing consists of bacon and onions and celery. dried bread stuffing mix. cut up bacon when it is half frozen as it is a lot easier. then you mix everything together and then you put into the bread stuffing mix but not before you add alot of the turkey meat and jucies to this. you will have some of the most deliouse out of this world stuffing.

ingredients: turkey broth made from giblets (boil giblets, add seasoning to taste, boil until done) home made corn bread from scratch, follow recipe from self rising corn meal bag,(don't use jiffy corn muffin mix, this product will make stuffing to sweet. you will chop the onion, celery, bell pepper, one granny smith apple. chop a half cup of each. you will need two boxes of stove top stuffing (cornbread type) . you will need three cans of cream of chicken soup undiluted. you will need two cans of turkey gravy. you will need six slices of white bread (day old bread left out overnight (not in the bag ). you will need two tablespoons of baking powder. you will need black pepper and salt to taste. you will need two eggs raw,and two eggs boiled and then chopped.you will combine all iingredients using the broth cooked with turkey giblets. combine all ingredients and make sure all breads are broken up and crumbled. when combining ingredients leave eggs last because you will be tasting to make sure salt, and pepper are okay. you also use season salt and garlic powder. seasoning can be your choice for your liking. make sure if stuffing is going into turkey decrease the broth as to not make stuffing runny, because the turkey will also produce liquid. when making extra pan you can use more turkey broth. the key is chopped vegetable and the seasoning (don't be afraid to season) . this recipe is southern black recipe it is always a hit. i give this in love. enjoy

open large loaf of bread and let it start to dry out - but not hard, set aside. sautee celery and onions in oil with bell's seasoning added.just use enough oil to cover the onions and celery. when 3/4 cooked remove from heat. cut semi hard bread into cubes. place in glass or stainless steel dish. pour onions and celery with oil over bread and mix. roll or wrap in foil and bake at 350 for about 45 minutes.delicious. it's even good if you want to through some cranraisins in at the last minutes before baking.
